From the recording Turn Up the Heat, Renaldo

Jason had sent me a CD of about 30 MP3s that were all songs in various stages of completion, some of them being just a shred of an idea. I found several that I really liked, including this one. So Jason re-recorded it.
All instruments, vocals, sound effects and coughing by Jason, except guitar intro and obligato by me.
Mixed and mastered by Jason.

Lyrics

Turn Up the Heat, Renaldo

Turn up the heat, Renaldo
Don’t cause me all this sorrow
I want to see tomorrow
Won’t you turn up the heat, Renaldo?

I rent this small apartment
I live all alone
I won’t be too much trouble
Won’t you turn up the heat, Renaldo?
Turn up the heat, Renaldo

Turn up the heat, Renaldo
Turn up the radiator
Every day gets colder
Again and again
And you know that I’m just gonna freeze
From the breeze
Renaldo…

Ceilings are cracked and peeling
Baby’s getting rabies
Rats chew bodies with feeling
And I don’t know if I can take it
Not much more room to take it

Turn up the heat, Renaldo
It is a major problem
I’m growing more goose pimples by the day
And you now that I can’t, can’t walk away
Because unemployment grows
Everybody knows today you’ve gotta say

Turn up the heat, Renaldo
Don’t cause me all this sorrow
I want to see tomorrow
Won’t you turn up the heat, Renaldo?
Turn up the heat, Renaldo
Turn up the heat, turn up the heat Renaldo
