From the recording <br>Venus In a Z3

I actually wrote this song when I was working in Motorcycle Operations at BMW as the only Information Technology resource. The Z3 had just come out, and I decided to write a sort of promotional song about it. Needless to say, BMW never picked up on the idea of the free advertizing that a song on the radio would provide. Their loss.
While this song probably bears no resemblance to anything Chuck Berry has ever written or played, I consider it a tribute to him because without Mr Berry I would probably have never heard rock & roll. In hindsight, this song is probably more similar to Little Feat's Let It Roll than anything Chuck has ever done.

Lyrics

Venus In a Z3

Got my motor humming, hammer lane is open wide
Roadster top, ooh I’m feeling fine
The sun is making gold a set of shoulders next to me
Wind in her hair sets me free

I just might get to Venus in a Z3
Oh, she can fly me so high
Make my wheels kiss the sky
Venus in a Z3

Rip the roadway open, gonna set the wind on fire
Speed my pleasure, Venus my desire
She’s got the curves, she’s got the style, she’s got a hold on me
Aw come on darling set me free

I’m going to Venus in a Z3
Oh, she can fly me so high
Make my wheels kiss the sky
Venus in a Z3

I’ve got a feeling when I’m behind the wheel with you
There’s nothing we can dream that we can’t do
Ride the wind around the sun
Drag the stars around the moon

Aw, take me back to heaven, let the highway never end
Paradise appear ‘round every bend
Looks like forever has caught up to you and me
Make a motion, darling set us free

Aw, come on Venus
Ooh, yeah you fly me so high
Take Mars for a ride
Make my wheels kiss the sky
Venus in a Z3
